David Titus

Hi there! I am a labor economist on the 2026 job market. I recently received my PhD in Economics from Cornell University and look forward to the next phase of my career.

My research is in labor economics, with a particular focus on how policies, market structures, institutions, and prejudice shape the economic outcomes, human capital accumulation, and integration of immigrants and refugees. I also conduct research on how different policies affect gender pay and employment gaps.

My job market paper studies how employment restrictions on undocumented immigrants impacts the human capital development of their children. Specifically, I estimate the effect of Universal E-Verify on the college attendance of undocumented Hispanics. You can read the abstract and access the current version of the paper, along with my other working papers, in my research section.

I graduated from Binghamton University after the Fall 2019 semester with a double major in economics and mathematics. You can learn more about my background and research by downloading my CV from the link below or by going to the CV page.
